The Generator Controller Unit (GCU-0012) is a fully qualified solid state field drive controller designed for rugged low voltage power generation systems in extreme environments. The GCU-0012 is a high reliability air cooled unit that operates from 10…33VDC. With embedded software intelligence, this dual CAN controller can be reprogrammed and configured. Patented power control methodologies provide flexible and dynamic switching strategies for the most complex generation systems. With standard connectors and chassis mounting points, the GCU-0012 integrates easily into various vehicle systems. The GCU-0012 is currently in vehicle production.

HVPC

The HVPC is an intelligent High Voltage Power Control unit designed and developed to be used in future military high voltage vehicle architectures. It is controlled, monitored, configured, and reprogrammable through a CAN bus. The HVPC provides control to twelve (12) high voltage, high temperature, solid state Silicon Carbide (SiC) channels designed to handle 210kW with 105C coolant.

HVPC unique characteristics:

  • Controller Area Network (CAN) communications is designed to J1939.
    • The CAN ICD can be configured to an OEM’s protocol
    • Provides operational information (voltages, currents, temperatures, fault status) and channel control via CAN messages.
  • Component selection of +125C and -40C with appropriate thermal management design.
  • Designed for manufacturability
